Dawn Raffel is the author of the short story collection, Further Adventures in the Restless Universe (Dzanc Books, 2010), as well as a previous collection of short stories, In the Year of Long Division, and a novel, Carrying the Body. Her work has appeared in O, The Oprah Magazine, Conjunctions, NOON, Open City, The Mississippi Review, The Quarterly, Unsaid, and numerous other periodicals and anthologies. She has taught creative writing in the MFA program at Columbia University and is a magazine editor in New York City.
Jeff Parker is the author of the story collection The Taste of Penny (Dzanc) and the novel Ovenman (Tin House). His short fiction and nonfiction have appeared in American Short Fiction, The Best American Nonrequired Reading, Indiana Review, Ploughshares, Tin House, The Walrus, and others. He co-edited Rasskazy: New Fiction from a New Russia (Tin House) and teaches creative writing at the University of Toronto.
Zoe Zolbrod studied at both Oberlin and the University of Illinois at Chicago, and is been a Senior Editor at Houghton Mifflin/Harcourt. She also was co-publisher of Maxine -- a literate companion for churlish girls and rakish women. Her debut novel, Currency, was published by OV Books in April 2010.
Abayomi Animashaun is a Nigerian émigré, who came to the United States in the mid 1990s. After completing his baccalaureate degree in Mathematics, Animashaun abandoned the sciences to pursue poetry. His poems have appeared in several print and online journals, including 5 A.M., African American Review, Southern Indiana Review, and Diode. In 2008, he was awarded The Hudson Prize for his first volume of verse, The Giving of Pears published by Black Lawrence Press.
